Assign Random Colors To Resources

Description

Assigns a random color to each selected resource. Requires Install Resource Plan Bar Color.

How to Use

Open the resource report. Run the Install Resource Plan Bar Color script. Insert the new color and color name columns. Select all the resource rows. Run the script.
The script will add color names and color codes to each resource. These colors are used by the Set Plan Bar Color By Resource script.

How It Works

Brian has found that it is difficult to choose attractive colors from a color picker dialog. This script uses the colors defined in wikipedia's list of colors. Brian wrote the script in order to be able to quickly demonstrate the new plan bar color feature.

Critique

The script is a fast way to select an ugly combination of attractive colors for your resources. It use usually takes half a dozen tries to get a decent combination.
